Day 38

It's Really Windy

9:30am and we were on the road again. It was an uneventful drive north to Santispac but we did have some very scenic views of the Sea of Cortez along the way. It was very windy and the sand blowing near the mountains looked like fog. There were huge whitecaps on the Sea in some areas that were less protected by the mountains. When we reached the Santispac Beach our Wagonmaster scouted out a private area for us and we all had waterfront property. The Sea is quite shallow here in this bay which is part of Bahia Conception and is a green color rather than the dark blue.

At 7:30pm we all gathered under the stars at the Wagonmaster's rig to listen to his presentation about the stars, planets and constellations. Our Wagonmaster Ken Adams is well qualified to give these talks as he taught astronomy at various universities in the San Francisco Bay area and was the Planetarium Director at Redding California when he retired.
